Meet some of the projects that have been supported by the Angelica Fuentes Foundation

Presence in Latin America

Since its creation in March 2014, the Angélica Fuentes Foundation, through its 27 current partners, grantees and gender equality programs, is currently reaching an estimate of 270,000 girls and women in the hemisphere in more than 40 communities in 5 countries.

With a particular focus on inclusion, development and equal pay for equal work indicators, the Foundation sponsors the implementation of programs in urban, agricultural and indigenous communities through a wide spectrum of areas of intervention, ranging from access to education, the formation of business oriented women cooperatives, access to justice, prevention and rehabilitation of gender violence, the development of community-based microfinance, support for teenage and adult pregnancies, government policy reforms, access to maternal healthcare, civil and social participation, amongst several others.

As the Foundation moves towards 2016 by consolidating a 10-year expansion plan, it aims to increase its reach to an additional 3 countries in the region (8 out of 20 in the Americas) and provide support to 15 additional
organizations in 2015/2016.
